The Art of Manifestation (based in neuroscience and yogic psychology) Part 1 and 2

Part 1: What is Manifestation?

The law of attraction and the art of manifestation are both based off of the simple concept that the energy we extend outward through our thoughts, actions, and beliefs comes back to us in different forms. Our brains are wired to align our outer world with our inner self.

Some individuals look at manifestation as creating something new in life out of thin air. I prefer to view it as magnetizing energy that already exists toward you.

The art of manifestation may seem to be an out-there, “woo woo” sort of practice. Yet it is a quantum science-based principle of energy mechanics rooted in the principles of how energy and the human nervous system works.

You attract things that are of a similar vibration to what you are putting out. If you are constantly saying and feeling that you are broke, then the universe syncs up with that energy and continues to provide you with circumstances and situations that affirm your belief. When you begin to create new beliefs, such as “I abundantly provided for,” the universe provides you with circumstances and situations that align with that belief and thought. 

Dr. Bruce Lipton shares in his book, the Biology of Belief:

“I was exhilarated by the new realization that I could change the character of my life by changing my beliefs. I was instantly energized because I realized that there was a science-based path that would take me from my job as a perennial “victim” to my new position as “co-creator” of my destiny.” 

It can take a really long time to create new beliefs and adjust your thoughts without spiritually bypassing them into toxic positivity, yet as you begin this journey of unraveling belief systems (most of which were programmed into your nervous system from ages zero to seven and based around your relationship with your primary caregivers), you begin to also change your external circumstances. This is simply how the universe works.

Part 2: The Deeper Work

When approaching work around manifestation, it is important to consider what your actual deep seated intention is (as compared to superficial desire). For example, say you’re hoping to manifest a new car. You may consider what it is energetically that having a new car will give you; does it give you freedom? A sense of youth? A somatic feeling of being safer, or more adventurous?

For each and every material desire, there is a deeper need to attend to that will make your manifestation process exponentially more successful. Having superficial desires is not innately wrong, yet basing your manifestation practice upon them would be an incomplete representation of what is it that you TRULY want for yourself and your life. In all reality, a car is not going to give you a sustained, deep experience of everlasting freedom. Yet, having an internal belief that you are indeed a being who is innately free will likely call in external circumstances that support your material experience of feeling free.

Once you’ve honed in on your deeper need, the next step is to align your actions with your new belief. For example, if you deeper need is abundance or trust, begin acting in a way that is trusting and abundant. Once you align your actions with your intention, circumstances and situations of the same frequency to what you are outwardly expressing begin to naturally magnetize back toward you.

To recap:

  • Notice your thoughts, actions and beliefs, and how they align with your physical world. 

  • Consider not only what you wish to manifest physically, but your deeper energetic and emotional need.

  • Align your actions, thoughts, and beliefs with your deeper need.
