Our first Foundations of Yoga retreat, hosted at SunMountain Center in Manitou Springs, CO, was an amazing experience themed around living with intention and letting go of limiting beliefs. The entire weekend was beautiful: from the incredible students who showed up, to SunMountain's beautiful venue, farm animals, and meals, to the beautiful Rocky Mountains painting a scene in the backdrop. I am so blessed to have shared the weekend with each one of the participants who showed up! A huge thank you to each of the 20 students who came.

Putting this retreat together took months of preparation and coordination. We could not have done it without help from SunMountain Center's retreat coordinators (a big thank you to Gigi and Theresa!)
SunMountain Center truly was the perfect place to spend the weekend. Beautiful architecture, soulful land, and the mountain charm of Manitou Springs.
We began our retreat with a farm-tour, introductions, movement, and a Yoga Nidra practice to ground and settle everyone from a day full of travel. One of the most potent parts of the evening for me was creating an uplifting intention for the weekend and for life.
We had so much fun teaching yoga! Some classes from this weekend were: Slow Flow Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, a Foundations of Yoga Breakdown, and Restorative Yoga.
On Saturday, we explored the beautiful destination, Garden of the Gods, which attracts travelers from all over the world!
This ceremony was towards the end of our time together. We all spent time considering a limiting belief that is not serving our highest potential. One-by-one, we let a limiting belief go into the flames while the rest of the group held space and supported the process of letting go. Each student then received an optional sage smudging and spritz of rosewater. This was a powerful, emotional, and potent ceremony.
Our final closing circle, where we reflected and practiced group yoga to feel the web of community created through retreat. We offered the mantra of 'Lokah Somastah Sukhino Bhavantu' to allow the benefits of our practice to ripple out and create positive change throughout the whole world.
What a beautiful adventure! Thank you again to everyone who made this weekend happen. See you next year!
